Commercial Parking Lot Cleaning in Vero Beach, FL
The General manager at Palm Coast Shutters, reached out to me for a quote to pressure wash the parking lot of the business front. I provided him a quote the same day, and we scheduled the job 2 weeks in advance. The parking lot needed to be prepared for striping (painting).
We began the commercial pressure washing job by blowing the parking lot free of leaves & debris. After watering the freshly planted sod and plants near by, we pretreated the parking lot with a biodegradable algaecide, that breaks down organic matter. Preferably, the treatment should dwell for 15 minutes or more. Be sure to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during exposure. Next step is to de-weed the job site using the turbo tip attachment on the end of the wand. Turbo tips are aggressive and great for removing weeds and other stubborn imperfections. Caution must be used to ensure no etching or damage is done.
Then it's time to begin pressure washing the concrete using a surface cleaner. Surface cleaners cover more surface area compared to a wand, which is essential for cleaning larger areas. When using the surface cleaner, it is important to maintain a steady pace. Moving too fast will cause "tiger stripes". The gpm (Gallon per minute) of your pressure washer will determine what size surface cleaner you can effectively use. After using the surface cleaner to pressure wash the concrete, then rinse off the dirt that has been lifted. After the parking lot has been rinsed, a post treatment is then applied. This will ensure that all organic growth is eliminated and gives the concrete a much brighter and cleaner appearance.
